The average sales price average continues stay lower than the previous year. The average sales price is down 17% from January of 2007.

During the month of August only 125 homes closed. This amount puts Hernando County monthly sales of existing homes to the second lowest since January of 2007. While the lowest has been January of this year which is traditionally a slow period. The market that had been showing signs of improving has slowed.

The Hernando County Real Estate Market is showing signs of rebounding. Closings are up 12% at 177 for the month while average home price fell around 5% from the previous month. The continued growth in the number of sales helps push the absorption rate to 20 months of inventory.
